Once admitted into the dual degree program, students spend their first year taking courses in the full-time MBA program. The student takes 9 credit hours of approved Finance electives in the Fall and Spring semesters of second year, which can be credited towards both degrees. Thus, upon completion of the MBA credit-hours requirement, the student may need only 21 more credit-hours of Master of Finance (MSFI) courses to get a Master of Finance degree. If desired, this can be done in just one more semester, enabling motivated students to complete both degrees in just 5 semesters (a sample curriculum plan is shown below).
