In 2019, Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) and the Innovation Research Interchange (IRI) started the Digital Futures Conference in a partnership designed to bring together practitioners and researchers to further knowledge and understanding of digital transformation. IRI, an authoritative source of research and development and innovation leadership solutions for its member companies, and CWRU, a leader among research universities in innovative discoveries, combined efforts to host an annual conference featuring leaders from industry and academics.
Since collaborating, the two organizations have hosted two conferences. The xLab faculty director, Youngjin Yoo, served as liaison to help develop the schedule and content for the in-person conference held on the campus of CWRU in Cleveland, Ohio Oct., 14-16, 2019. The second conference was held virtually, Oct. 12-15, 2020, due the global pandemic.
CWRU and IRI continue to partner on the conference to educate and guide organizations as they transition in the new digital landscape.
