xLab is a new initiative at the Weatherhead School of Management dedicated to partnering tech-savvy students, faculty and industry experts with legacy and industrial native companies. Our goal – to help companies understand, adopt and implement new business models to compete in the new digital economy.
Founded by Youngjin Yoo, the Elizabeth M. and William C. Treuhaft Professor in Entrepreneurship and professor of design & innovation at the Weatherhead School, xLab will change the way companies operate and position themselves for success in a competitive digital world. The program will help companies realize the value and revenue from digital vs. physical assets.
Through a one- to three-year strategic partnership, an xLab partner company will:
- Start a pilot project for digital innovations
- Adopt and implement Digital-First strategies
- Create a digital native talent pipeline
- Create a company-wide strategy for rapid deployment of digital innovation
- Up-skill existing employee talent
- Instigate a company-wide dialogue on digital transformation
