Posted 10.13.10On behalf of the U.S. Network of the UN Global Compact, in partnership with the U.S. State Department, we would like to invite you to our upcoming fall symposium. Twice each year the U.S. Network of the UN Global Compact hosts a symposium where the private sector, public sector and civil society can gather to share best and emerging practices and develop ideas around a topic which help to advance the ten principles of the UN Global Compact. On November 2, 2010, the U.S. Mission to the United Nations will host the U.S. Network's second symposium of the year on the topic of "Business and the Millennium Development Goals.” The meeting will be held at the State Department's U.S. Mission to the United Nations in New York City beginning at 9:30 am (with registration at 9:00 am) and finishing at 5:00 pm. Leading experts will address a range of topics, including: * Core Business and Value Chain Contributions * Strategic Social Investment and Philanthropy * Advocacy and Public Policy Engagement on Key Issues We hope you will be able to join us for what promises to be an exciting symposium and an excellent opportunity to co-learn with UNGC members, to meet senior sustainability officials within the US Government, to make valuable connections, and network with potential partners in your work.
