2019 bowers economic forecast
|
|
Ellen Zentner, chief U.S. economist and managing director at Morgan Stanley, returns to Cleveland Friday, December 6 to present the David A. Bowers Economic Forecast.
Zentner, recipient of the Lawrence R. Klein Award in 2018, will provide insight on the market-moving trends she’s observing and will be available to answer audience questions.

Thank you to all who have participated in the Strategic Planning forums and surveys. We have concluded the initial set of eight forums and retrieved inputs from faculty, staff, students and alumni. Many responded to our surveys, including over 300 from alumni alone. We are moving into the analysis and interpretation stage, along with collecting additional information on external forces that are shaping business education.

Organizational behavior faculty Richard Boyatzis, Melvin Smith and Ellen Van Oosten published an article on coaching with compassion on the US Chamber of Commerce website. They discuss how to foster connection and positive emotion to motivate learning and change. |

Susan Helper, professor of economics, weighs in on the impact of electric car manufacturing and trade agreements that impact this industry.

Current Case Western Reserve University students or graduates of the last five years are invited to enter this year's Morgenthaler-Pavey Startup Competition. The competition gives entrepreneurs the chance to win up to $25,000 to grow their ventures. The deadline to apply is Nov. 22.
