Distinguished Alumni Award
The Distinguished Alumni Award honors alumni who are transformational leaders, bringing credit to the university by their personal accomplishment, professional achievement and as good global citizens.
Tim Callahan is President of MCT Corporation, an investment firm specializing in public and private equities principally within the technology and consumer products sectors, and Chairman of Embedded Planet, a company that designs, manufactures, and distributes high-powered single-board computers. Additionally, Mr. Callahan serves as the President and Executive Director of The M.E. & F. J. Callahan Foundation, which continues to support the interests and passions of its founder and Mr. Callahanâ€™s father, F. J. Callahan.
Mr. Callahan has served on numerous boards throughout University Circle including University Circle, Inc., Cleveland Institute of Music, Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland Institute of Art, Music School Settlement, MOCA Cleveland, Citizenâ€™s Academy and Hawken School. He has also served Case Western Reserve University in several ways. Since 2000, he has been a member of the board of trustees. He serves as Vice Chair of the campaign committee for the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing and is a member of the universityâ€™s campaign committee beginning in 2009. He is a member of the Inamori Advisory Committee since 2011, and serves on numerous committees for the School of Medicine.
Mr. Callahan is a member of the Visiting Committee for the Weatherhead School, where he earned his Executive MBA in 1999. He received his a BS degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Outstanding Alumni Award
The Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award honors alumni to recognize longevity and consistency of service and dedication to the Weatherhead School of Management.
Eric Keene is the Founder & President of Keene Advisory Group. He partners with publicly traded and privately held clients to recruit general management and functional executives. Formerly with Russell Reynolds Associates, Mr. Keene served as a firm-wide leader on Diversity & Inclusion and was a member of the Corporate Officerâ€™s practice.
Mr. Keene has successfully led search engagements across a variety of industries including consumer markets, energy, financial services, healthcare & life sciences, industrial, professional services and technology. In addition to general management positions, Mr. Keeneâ€™s functional emphasis involves commercial roles (marketing, sales, and strategy), consulting, and manufacturing operations.
Previously, Mr. Keene worked for McKinsey & Company serving international clientele on issues of operations, organization, sales and strategy. His earlier experience includes several years in sales and marketing with IBM, Oâ€™Connor & Associates/Swiss Bank (UBS) and AT&T.
He has been recognized by Diversity MBA Magazine as one of their Top 50 under 50 Executive Leaders. He has also served as a Director for several organizations, including Centers for New Horizons and the Illinois African American Coalition for Prevention.
Mr. Keene is an Emeritus member and past president of the Case Western Reserve Universityâ€™s Alumni Association Board of Directors. He is an active member of CWRUâ€™s Chicago Alumni Chapter, and served as its president in 2002.
Since 2013, Mr. Keene has been a member of the Visiting Committee for the Weatherhead School, where he received his MBA in 1994 as the Weatherhead Alumni Scholar. He and earned his BSc in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan.
In 2017, he served on the Deanâ€™s Search Committee for the Weatherhead School.
