Investments in Weatherhead help support our growth and development in a variety of key areas.

Corporate Partnerships

Weatherhead enjoys many collaborative relationships with corporations and individuals in the greater community. These strategic partners make significant investments in the future of our school and the business profession by supporting the transformational programming, ideas and experiences that make our students innovative leaders and talented future employees.

Partnerships have resulted in such notable collaborative achievements as the David A. Bowers Economic Forecast Luncheon, the Fowler Center for Business as an Agent of World Benefit and the Weatherhead 100. There are many unique opportunities to sponsor named events, faculty research and achievements, centers of learning and scholarship.

Student Development

Weatherhead understands that providing optimum educational opportunities is essential to an outstanding experience. Last academic year, Weatherhead awarded 235 students with merit-based scholarship awards, helping to attract and retain the best and brightest business students. In addition, Weatherhead’s Career Management Office aided students in securing employment by conducting 915 student appointments, reviewing 275 resumes and cover letters, and posting 779 open jobs and internships.

Community Investment

Programming options abound for the entire Weatherhead community. Speaker series highlight prominent Cleveland business leaders, including many Weatherhead alumni, and offer attendees insight into their successes and challenges. Social events facilitate connections between students, faculty and alumni, strengthening our community even more. View our complete Weatherhead event calendar for ways to get involved.

Program Expansion

As the global business community expands, so does Weatherhead. The school continues to expand its outreach to the developing markets in China and India by partnering with local institutions. Weatherhead now offers its MSM-Finance program combined with Tongji University’s MBA program in China. Locally, Weatherhead recently added the MSM-Healthcare, MSM-Business Analytics and Cleveland Clinic Weatherhead EMBA.

Support Programming

A very common use of directed funds, whether endowment funds or outright gifts, is to support cutting-edge academic research and programs of the school. This integral support strengthens our core mission and provides the school flexibility to make dramatic redesigns of the curriculum to allow for a higher level of integration and create key areas of focus.

Additional partnerships relate directly to our academic programs: organizations boost their leadership capacity, build human capital, and improve performance by sponsoring their employees’ academic pursuits at Weatherhead, and through affiliate partnerships and custom learning solutions with Executive Education.

Capital Contributions

Weatherhead is comprised of two learning centers, the landmark Peter B. Lewis Building and the George S. Dively Building. We continuously maintain and upgrade these facilities to assure they remain high-quality, world-class facilities. Generous support from hundreds of donors helps us make the capital improvements to the spaces in which we teach, learn and work. Previous capital improvement donations have ranged from $5,000 to design and create a computer/printing lab to $300,000 to update technology in the Peter B. Lewis Building.
