The course is designed around the idea that individuals and organizations can leverage leadership based on a range of mindfulness practices - leading to a new consciousness of connectedness - to create more fulfilling, meaningful, and flourishing outcomes. It builds on the first year MBA course, Sustainability for Business Advantage (MBAC520A), to focus on leadership aimed at flourishing enterprise and business as a force for good. It emphasizes emerging market expectations for business to have a Net Positive Impact and for leaders to change who they are being, not only what they are doing. Through this course, students will have the opportunity to utilize mindfulness practices through an action learning process that will allow them to experience greater personal flourishing and wellbeing, with a greater connection to self, others and nature. The most exciting aspect of this class will be encouraging students to see themselves as positive change agents, with the ability to enact positive impacts on our environment and society, through living their most fulfilling and flourishing selves.
