Successful innovation and management of brands and products creates customer, firm, and societal value. This course is designed to help students understand the principles of product and brand development and management such as understanding evolving customer needs; creating and delivering the right products, services, and experiences; and managing the process to enhance brand equity and customer satisfaction. Through text, cases, and simulation this engaging class will cover the branding process from new brand and product development; brand communication and promotion, and brand equity measurement. The course will also discuss specific topics such as global brands, brand extensions, brand revitalization, and social responsibility.
