3.00 credit hours

This course is developed based on the feedback received from employers who have hired BS Management (finance) graduates in the past and will likely do so in future. The goal is to enable students to use financial econometrics to effectively analyze financial data, and hone skills in financial modeling and valuation with the objective of understanding the value created or destroyed by the activities or proposed activities of a firm. The course will draw on theoretical aspects of BAFI 355 but focus on developing financial analytic skills. SAS statistical package use and modeling skills will be developed. By the end of the course, students will appreciate what drives valuation, and be comfortable in financial data analytics using SAS.
