Robert A. Glick is the founder, former CEO and Chairman of Dots, LLC, the women’s apparel specialty chain offering fashion trends at exceptional prices. The company was sold to Irving Place Capital, a leading middle-market private equity firm, in January, 2011. At the time, Dots operated 430 stores in 28 states and employed over 4,000 associates.
Bob serves on the Investment Committee of The University Hospitals Health System in Cleveland. He additionally serves on the Board and is vice chair of the Leadership and Professional Affairs Committees of the University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center. Bob is a member of the Leadership Council of Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital.
In addition to serving as a member of the Weatherhead School of Management’s Visiting Committee, Bob also serves on the Boards of the Cleveland Institute of Art and The Temple Tifereth Israel Foundation.
Bob is the former Chairman of and serves on the Advisory Board of the Shannon Rodgers and Jerry Silverman School of Fashion Design and Merchandising at Kent State University. He was inducted into the Kent State University School of Fashion Merchandising Hall of Fame in 1992 for his contributions to the retail industry.
Bob is a Certified Public Accountant, received his BBA summa cum laude from Ohio University and his MBA, with highest honors, from the University of Michigan.
