In addition to his work as an executive search consultant, Dr. Smith is a trusted advisor and management consultant to executive leaders and their organizations. He has recruited for small, midsized, and global organizations such as IBM, Pitney Bowes, NASA, GE, DuPont, Xerox, Charter One, GM, International Paper, Dana Corporation, National Medical Association, Owens Corning, and more. A leader in the recruitment of nonprofit executives, Dr. Smith has represented the Timken Foundation of Canton, Cleveland Botanical Garden, The MetroHealth System, Greater Cleveland Partnership, several chapters of the National Urban League, Cuyahoga Health Access Partnership (CHAP), the Center for Community Solutions, Friendly Inn Settlement, MAGNET, Cleveland Museum of Art, Boys and Girls Clubs, and many others.
A successful entrepreneur, Dr. Smith has global business interests and was selected by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to represent small and midsize businesses on a trade mission to China. He holds a Bachelor’s from George Williams College, a Master’s from the University of Chicago, and a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh.
