Billie K. Rawot is the former senior vice president and controller for Eaton Corporation, having served the company in that capacity for 22 years. Eaton is a global diversified power management company with annual sales of $22 billion. As a corporate officer and the company’s chief accounting officer, Rawot had responsibilities for internal and external accounting and financial reporting, Eaton's operational reporting and performance measurement systems, its internal control and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance program, and the company’s global shared services centers. She also served as an executive management member of the Eaton Board of Directors’ Committees on Audit and Finance. Prior to joining Eaton, Rawot was a certified public accountant with the firms of Deloitte & Touche and Ernst & Young.
Rawot is a member of the board of directors for Westfield Bank and serves as its Audit Committee chair. Westfield Bank is one of northeast Ohio’s fastest growing and highest rated banks since its founding in 2001. It is a member of Westfield Group, one of the nation’s largest regional insurance companies serving customers in 31 states. Westfield Bank has $834 million in total assets.
Rawot is a member of Financial Executives International and served on its national Committee on Corporate Reporting for 18 years. She was also a 20-year member of the Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation (MAPI) finance council. She is a trustee and a member of the Executive Committee of the Great Lakes Science Center. A member of The Union Club of Cleveland, she also served on its Board of Trustees for 10 years. Rawot is a member of the Visiting Committee for Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management. In addition, she serves on the audit committee of United Way Services of Cleveland. Rawot is a member of Women Corporate Directors, Leadership Cleveland, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of CPAs.
A certified public accountant in Ohio and Illinois, Rawot holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accountancy from the University of Illinois. She also completed the Executive Management Development Program at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Rawot has received a number of awards recognizing her professional contributions, including Diversity Journal’s Women Worth Watching – 2011, the YWCA Women of Achievement Award, and the YWCA Tribute to Women in International Business Award. She is also a frequent speaker on current accounting and external financial reporting topics, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, global shared services operations and women in global businesses.
