Ramona Hood is president and CEO at FedEx Custom Critical. Hood started her career in 1991 as a receptionist for Roberts Express, which was later purchased by FedEx, and is now known as FedEx Custom Critical. Twenty-six years later, she is an influential leader in the industry and in her community. She leads dynamically through vision, strategy development and execution.

Currently, Hood is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for FedEx Custom Critical and its third-party logistics provider, FedEx Transportation Management. She is a connected leader who is driving change, innovation, strategy and possibilities in those she leads-the company, her community and the transportation industry.

Since joining the company, Hood has held various leadership positions within FedEx Custom Critical, and is also a former vice president of customer operations at FedEx Supply Chain. She was recognized for her leadership within the company when she was awardfed the FedEx Five Star award, the highest recognition FedEx employees can receive, in both 2010 and 2016.

Over the years, Hood has been honored with numerous awards for the strides she has made in the industry. In 2016, she received the Crain's Cleveland, Women of Note Award; Smart Women, Honoree of the Progress Woman Award; and Woman of Influence from the Women in Trucking Association. She was also recognized by the Greater Akron Chamber with the "30 for the Future" award. In 2013, she was recognized by Sales & Marketing Executives International with a Distinguished Sales & Marketing Award. She also received the Woman of Inspiration Award from Walsh University.

Hood has many interests and holds a number of leadership positions outside of FedEx. She is a business advisor for the Welty Building Company, a local construction consultation company. She is chair of the technology committee for Transportation Intermediary Association (TIA) and was also appointed to serve on its board of directors. Additionally, she serves on the Summit Education Initiative board and Cleveland State University Foundation. She was also the previous chairman of the board of trustees for Child Appointed Special Advocates. She is a member of the Kent Area Chapter of The Links, Incorporated and Jack and Jill of America Inc., Akron Chapter. Most recently, she was appointed to the board of directors for Walsh University in 2018.

While working at FedEx, Hood obtained a B.A. in Business Management from Walsh University and an Executive MBA from Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management - all while raising two daughters.

She currently resides in Copley, Ohio, with her two daughters, Mariah and Kayla.
