Non-Financial Ways to Support Weatherhead

Hiring Students and Alumni
Alumni play a vital role in the hiring of current students and alumni. You can serve as an on-campus recruiter for your company. You can post internships and jobs on the Weatherhead eRecruiting System (WeRS) for both current students and alumni. You also can volunteer to get involved with informational interviewing and assisting current students and alumni with networking. Mentor Program
The Weatherhead Mentor Program matches students with Cleveland-area executives and managers who help to focus students’ academic and career interests, and assist them in setting realistic goals and developing appropriate skills for their future. The role of the mentor is to serve as a Volunteer Professional Advisor (VPA) to a first-year graduate business student. Mentors are asked to meet with their protégés once a month.

Mock Interviews
You play an important role in the preparation of Weatherhead students for the job market. You can help with basic interview skills assessment interviews, functional focused interviews and job specific interviews. Speakers and Panelists
You can share your industry and functional area expertise and knowledge with our students. Student groups and faculty often bring guest speakers to campus to share their experiences with students. If you are interested in talking to our students call Anisha Walker at 216.368.5101.

Student Recruitment
You can play an integral role in the recruitment of prospective students for the Weatherhead School. You can identify and recommend prospective students to the Admissions Office and volunteer to help staff MBA Fairs and Consortiums held in your city. You also can participate in the Alumni Connection to serve as a resource for prospective students who would like to learn more about the Weatherhead experience. Event Participation
The Weatherhead School offers many opportunities for alumni and friends to continue their education. You can take part in an Alumni Association sponsored event, a School or University sponsored event, an executive education class or through the MBA+ program.
