Student Life: Student Events

Weatherheadless Ball (October)

The Weatherheadless Ball is a campus wide Halloween party hosted by the Law School, Medical School, and the Weatherhead School of Management. The event takes place in the Peter B. Lewis building and is commonly attended by over 700 students, faculty, and staff. Each year a different charity is selected by the Community Service Club with this past year’s event benefiting the Cleveland Food Bank. Over 800 pounds of food and $100 were donated by attendees of this year’s party. The event is open to all students (21 or over).

Annual Report

The Annual Report is a student run end-of-the year celebration. Student awards and skits are just a few of the highlights of this light-hearted evening. The event is open to all Weatherhead faculty, staff, students, and family. This is truly one of the capstone events of the year!

Case Bowl

Case Bowl is a Net Impact Club charity event that features teams of faculty members debating a controversial case. It is a lively event where audience members vote on the winning team with their donations. This past year, the event had a boxing theme with our faculty “duking it out” and raising over $430 for Tremont Urban Food System. This event is truly a student favorite!

Casino Night

Casino Night is a student run benefit that is held each spring and benefits a local charity. A different charity is chosen each year to receive the benefits from the evening of chance. Guests to the event have an opportunity to try their hand at a number of games and the more winnings they accrue the more raffle tickets they earn for a chance to win a number of prizes. The event is open to the community and is an exciting, nail biting experience for all in attendance.
