Student Awards
Allen C. Holmes Community Service Award
Criteria
- Is a current Weatherhead student
- Demonstrates involvement in community service
- Focuses on economic development service in the Cleveland community (preferred,
but not required).
Nomination Process
- Nominations will be sought from Weatherhead faculty, staff and students. Nominations will be accepted until 10 days prior to the fall Recognition Committee meeting.
- The Weatherhead Alumni Recognition Committee will select the recipient of the award. Recipient will be selected at the fall Recognition Committee meeting.
- The Chair of the Committee, immediately following the fall Recognition Committee meeting, will notify the recipient.
- Recipient will be acknowledged at the Bowers Economic Forecast Luncheon in December.
The Scott S. Cowen Student Leadership Award
Criteria
- Is a current Weatherhead student.
- Serves as a model for other students.
- Enhances the student life atmosphere<./li>
- Promotes the Weatherhead image in a positive way.
- Contributes to the total community.
Nomination Process
- Nominations will be sought from Weatherhead faculty, staff and students. Nomination forms will be distributed in February and will be accepted until 10 days prior to the Recognition Committee meeting in March/April.
- The Weatherhead Alumni Recognition Committee will select the recipient of the award.
- Recipient will be selected at the March/April Recognition Committee meeting.
- The Chair of the Committee, immediately following the March/April Recognition Committee meeting, will notify the recipient.
- Recipient will be acknowledged at the Weatherhead diploma ceremony in May.
Theodore M. Alfred Distinguished Service Award
Criteria
- Is a current Weatherhead student
- Participates in community service inside and outside the Weatherhead community.
- Brings community service opportunities to Weatherhead students.
- Promotes service opportunities to Weatherhead students.

- The Weatherhead Alumni Recognition Committee will select the recipient of the award.

Teamwork Award
Criteria
- Is a current Weatherhead student.

Weatherhead Student Life Award
Criteria
- Is a current Weatherhead student
- Actively participates in and supports Weatherhead student activities and events.
- Encourages and supports student participation in student life activities.
- Creates, revitalizes or provides added value to Weatherhead student organizations, activities or programs.

Weatherhead Rita Kicher Award
Criteria
- Is a graduating part-time student
- Recognized as an outstanding colleague in Cleveland’s professional/business community by his/her peers and supervisors.
- Active member of one or more community non-profit organizations.
- Contributes to one or more professional societies or organizations.
- Demonstrates leadership qualities advocated by Weatherhead.
- Promotes Weatherhead in a positive way.
