These competencies include giving clear information and direction, delegating, facilitating and giving feedback. Effective managers know how and when to apply these approaches to create high-performance relationships with every employee.

Leslie Yerkes, Weatherhead alumna and nationally-recognized consultant, speaker and author, will lead first-time supervisors in developing the necessary tools, skills and judgment for positively influencing others and their performance. Participants will receive a general overview of a supervisory framework, practice key skills for instilling high performance in others, and receive feedback to their specific challenges raised in class.
