Darren Good, Ph.D, is a Weatherhead Affiliate Instructor and is engaged in both academic and business pursuits that focus on the development of human and organizational potential. He is an assistant professor of management in the Luter School of Business at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia, teaching classes in organizational behavior, human resource management and leadership development. Prior to his appointment at CNU, he spent three years teaching leadership development in the MBA program for the Department of Organizational Behavior at Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Good has published articles on leader development and flexibility, feedback delivery and executive coaching. His research focuses on leadership and managerial cognition with a particular focus in real-time adaptability and flexibility. Other active research pursuits include how to better support both early career faculty and the intellectually disabled in the workplace.
Prior to pursuing an academic career, Darren was a manager with Unicast Communications, a division of Bcom3, and held several positions as an account executive for ad agencies Saatchi & Saatchi and True North Communications. He has both managed and secured new business from a portfolio of client accounts including Hewlett Packard, Proctor & Gamble, Campbell’s Soup, Marketwatch, New York Times, and Viacom.
Dr. Good holds a Doctorate in Organizational Behavior from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, a Masters of Psychology from Pepperdine University and Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
