Instructors - Angela Passarelli

Angela Passarelli is a Weatherhead Affiliate Instructor and an independent consultant and executive coach, as well as a doctoral candidate in Organizational Behavior at Case Western Reserve University. As a consultant, Angela works with organizations to increase the vitality of their leadership systems through teambuilding and individual coaching. A skilled facilitator, she uses a strengths-based approach to promote positive transformation and lifelong learning. Her clients are from both corporate and non-profit sectors, including Walgreens’ Take Care Health Systems, Fifth Third Bank, Carolina Roofing, Inc., and a number of educational institutions.

Prior to pursuing her doctorate, Angela had a career in Student Affairs focusing on student leadership development.  Most recently, she served as the Director of the Center for Leadership at Elon University where she aided in the implementation of a leadership studies minor, led the university’s participation in the multi-institutional study of leadership, and introduced programming such as StrengthsQuest and the LeaderShape Institute.  In her early career, Angela served external clients as a sales manager for Aramark Event Services at James Madison University.

At CWRU, Angela is widely involved in the university’s coaching efforts, serving as a master coach and instructor for various leadership development initiatives, including Weatherhead’s MBA and MPOD programs. Angela’s research explores the impact of human connection on individual learning, engagement, health, well-being, motivation, and performance.  This has drawn her to topics such as resonant relationships, emotional and social intelligence, coaching, teaching, change, experiential learning, and neuroscience. She has co-authored several scholarly articles and book chapters on leadership development, strengths-based education, and experiential learning.  

She has an M.S. in Educational Administration with a focus in college student development from Texas A&M University and B.S. in Psychology and General Business from James Madison University.
