The workshop focuses on research about and the application of the concepts of effective youth engagement, specifically youth-adult partnerships. Participants will increase awareness and knowledge to effectively implement effective youth adult partnerships in their out-of-school time environments.

Intended Audience: youth and youth work professionals engaged in youth engagement programming

Learning Objectives:

• Incorporate research to enhance and support youth engagement models
• Create a working model for effective youth engagement including Youth-Adult (Y-A) partnerships
• Identify and eliminate barriers to team effectiveness
• Establish effective feedback to and from all partners
