Can you Hear Me?

This two session series focuses on strategies to incorporate youth voice into out-of-school time programming. Topics include youth engagement, structuring choice into programming, youth participation levels, incorporating youth voice into decision making and assessing current practice.

Intended Audience: youth serving professionals, including agency directors, program directors, professionals who work directly with youth

Goals:

  • Differentiate between youth voice and choice options in youth programming
  • Identify effective techniques to integrate youth voice and youth choice into programming
  • Increase understanding of the positive impact of planning and reflection activities for youth and in programming
  • Create an implementation plan
