Allison works as a senior consultant with Hawthorne Consultants in Boulder, CO, a boutique firm that partners with CEOs and top teams to help organizations move to the next level by supporting top teams to make smarter decisions and build capabilities that strengthen performance, productivity and commitment. Hawthorne is unique in its ability to integrate strategy with organization development from a whole-systems perspective. . Allison also is affiliated with Mobius Executive Leadership in Boston;Teleos Leadership Institute in Philadelphia; and Stagen Leadership Institute in Dallas.
Her expertise includes applications of Integral Theory, Gestalt Theory, Appreciative Inquiry, systems thinking, emotional and spiritual intelligence, developmental psychology, experiential learning and Holacracy.
Allison is a master executive coach through Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management Executive Education program. She serves as a faculty member for the Coaching program at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland, and presents annually at the Integral Leadership in Action conference.
For 20 years, Allison has worked with organizations of all sizes across a variety of industries, including energy, financial services, health care, manufacturing, publishing, government, and higher education. Clients have included BP, Alcatel/Lucent, Americhem, the Cleveland Clinic, Greater Cleveland Partnership, GOJO, Hospice Compassus, National Association of Manufacturers, National City Bank, Netherlands Bureau of Statistics, New York City Department of Youth and Family Justice, Nordson Corp., Penton Media, Rocky Mountain Institute, Sherwin Williams and the University of Denver.
Allison’s recent work includes a culture change and integration project with a large child-welfare agency in New York City; top-team alignment and leadership development with a national for-profit hospice company; and a whole-systems change initiative at Rocky Mountain Institute. She has designed and delivered comprehensive corporate leadership development programs for several global organizations. Her whole-systems change work combines assessment, strategy, top team alignment, organizational design, governance, culture change, leadership development and executive coaching.
Earlier in her career, Allison worked as a corporate communications consultant and business magazine editor. She has published dozens of articles on leadership, change, sustainability and corporate responsibility, and a book about knowledge management.
