Supply chain management deals with the coordination
of all activities that impact a product flowing from its sources
of raw materials to customers for the purpose of creating
value in the end product. The product may be a physical good,
a service, an idea, information or other entity that flows
through a defined pipeline or channel.
The MSM-SC degree program trains students at
the master’s level in supply chain methods and concepts,
business fundamentals, and quantitative techniques in order
to be effective analysts in manufacturing and service companies.
The program is available full time and part time. Students
may complete the requirements for the MSM-SC in 12 months.
The MSM-SC curriculum is comprised of two components:
the Business Core and the
Supply Chain Core.
Typically, MSM-SC graduates are initially employed
as technical problem solvers in manufacturing and service
organizations such as logistics firms, third-party logistics
service providers, management consulting firms, and manufacturing
companies with extensive product distribution. The graduates
are well-trained quantitative analysts who have a foundation
in business principles and concepts as well as the ability
to communicate effectively with managers working in the supply
chain management area. While many MSM-SC graduates pursue
careers as technical analysts in the supply chain area, others
will move into broader managerial positions with the organization.
The Operations Department offers the following
masters degrees:
MSM-OR (Master of Science
in Management in Operation Research)
MSM-SC (Master of Science in Management
in Supply Chain)
Joint degrees in MBA/MSM-OR
and MBA/MSM-SC
Those wishing to apply to these programs can
