REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION
In order to be admitted to the MSM-OR or MSM-SC
program, applicants must meet the following academic requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited,
four-year college or university
- Satisfactory scores on the GRE or GMAT
- A mathematical background that includes
at least three semesters of undergraduate calculus and one
semester of undergraduate linear algebra. NOTE: Upon entering,
the student is given an assessment examination to diagnose
their knowledge of this material. The student may be advised
to make up deficiencies through self study or formal coursework.
Beyond these requirements,
the Admissions Committee evaluates applicants on their
educational and professional accomplishments, performance
on the GRE or GMAT examination, individual career goals and
written recommendations. Admissions counselors are available
to talk with prospective applicants and evaluate their qualifications
for the MSM programs. It is not necessary to commit to either
the OR or SC track in advance of enrollment. It is relatively
easy to switch from one track to another.
TUITION
The cost of the program is determined by the
rate per credit hour for courses in the Weatherhead School
of Management and Case. The programs require 36 credit hours
of work, usually completed in 3 semesters. Credit hour rates
are adjusted on a yearly basis by the University. Tuition
is billed on a semester basis and fees are payable at the
beginning of each semester. Information on current tuition
rates may be found through the Controller’s
Office.
