Casino Night 2007 -- a rousing success

Posted 02/23/2007

More than 200 guests enjoyed casino-style games, great food, and wonderful company at this year's Casino Night. The event, hosted by Graduate Business Student Association (GBSA) and Weatherhead Student Services, was held at the Silver Grille which some will recall as the former destination restaurant at the Higbees Department Store. The Art Deco style restaurant has been painstakingly restored and currently provides a fantastic party venue with delicious catering provided by the attentive Ritz-Carlton staff.

The event was attended by a combination of alumni, current students, prospective students, faculty, and staff. While a good time was had by all, the event also served as a meaningful fundraiser for the Norman E. Wallace Legacy Fund. A moving toast in Norman's memory was offered by this year's Casino Night Chair Matt Evans, M.B.A. 2007, and guests responded with great enthusiasm and appreciation.

GBSA and Weatherhead Student Services extend a special thanks to all of our sponsors, volunteer dealers, and silent auction participants. Through your generosity we will be able to make a significant contribution to this year's beneficiary.
