Weatherheadless Sets New Record - for Fun!

Posted 11/15/2006

October 28th marked the annual Weatherheadless Ball, presented by the Weatherhead School of Management, the Case School of Law, and the Case Medical School. This year’s theme of “Fright Night” was punctuated by the showing of several classic horror films on the expansive white walls of the Peter B. Lewis basement, including “The Shining,” “The Amityville Horror,” and Mariah Carey’s “Glitter”. Food, drink, and costumes were enjoyed by all. The costume contest winner was Scott Edmonds, who was adorned as “The Weatherheadless Man”. If you were in attendance, you undoubtedly remember this costume. Entertainment was provided by Weatherhead’s own DJ Nithin, who got the crowd dancing early and kept them there ‘til dawn (or, until 11:30, as mandated by various university alcohol permit ordinances). Also keeping the crowd dancing were Weatherhead’s and the Law School’s finest bartenders, who kept the drinks flowing, the lines moving, and the drinks flowing some more.

Admission to the event was one non-perishable food item, with donations benefitting LEAP (Linking Employment, Abilities, and Potential). The winner of the “Best Food Brought to the Event” award goes to an anonymous donor of Boo Berry cereal. Thank you, kind donor – you have instilled the spirit of Halloween in us all. The after party was hosted at Uptowne Bar and Grill by the Case School of Law.

Finally, a special thank you to Laura Watt; without her help, the event would not happen.

We will see you all next year. Happy Thanksgiving!
