Staff Welcome and Farewell
Kate Coleman, EMBA Program Manager
Kate Coleman recently joined the Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA) program staff. Kate holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace College and has several years experience in higher education and program management. Kate will be working with students, faculty and EMBA alumni.
Amy Lucal, Career Development Manager
Amy Lucal joins the Weatherhead student services staff as a Career Development Manager. She’ll be working directly with students to help them with their career planning and job development process.
Amy is excited to be returning to Case; she earned her MSODA from the Weatherhead School of Management in 2005. She also holds a BA in English from Kent State University. Amy brings thirteen years of experience in career management, training, and organization development. Most recently, Amy worked at Federated Systems Group as the IT Recruiting and Training Coordinator.
Amy lives in Sandusky with her sons, Kyle and Quinn. She likes to be active and especially enjoys running and biking.
J.T. Neuffer, External Relations Manager
J.T. Neuffer accepted the position of External Relations Manager and started on July 10th. J.T. will work on business development and nurturing existing relationships that will benefit our students, staff and school. He brings a wealth of experience, contacts, and most importantly a passion for this work.
Specifically, J.T. has over 8 years of human resources experience in the banking, staffing, business-to-business media and manufacturing industries, concentrated in managing employee relations, compensation analysis, strategic recruitment planning, and training. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interpersonal Communications from Bowling Green State University and completed his certificate in Human Resource Management at Baldwin-Wallace College.
J.T. is a member of Cleveland Society of Human Resource Management (CSHRM), currently serving as VP of Education, leading the college relations and workforce development initiatives. J.T. was awarded the 2005 CSHRM Outstanding Member Award. In addition, J.T. serves on the Personnel Committee at a local church in Solon consulting them on their human resources needs.
Kimberly Orndorff, Career Development Manager
Kimberly J. Orndorff joins the Weatherhead School of Management as Career Development Manager. Kim has a variety of experience in corporate banking, university career services, and international education. Her passion is working with students and she is looking forward to continuing this at Weatherhead, and assisting them with their career development needs.
Kim holds an MA from The Ohio State University in Higher Education and Student Affairs and a BS in Business (Management Information Systems and Decision Sciences) from Miami University. Kim has been a member of ACPA: College Student Educators International, National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and NAFSA: Association of International Educators.
Previously, Kim worked at Ohio State’s College of Engineering Career Services office, assisting students with many different career search concerns, and the Office of International Education, advising international students on immigration regulations and planning programming for international students. Kim is originally from Cincinnati and recently relocated to Cleveland Heights from Columbus with her fiancé, Paul.
Tim Slager, Senior Professional Program Director
Tim Slager joined us July 5th as the Senior Professional Program Director in Weatherhead’s Student Services Group. In this role, Tim will provide leadership and coordination for the various master’s programs and be involved across the life cycle of the students – from recruiting to student life to scheduling of courses to academic standards as well as bridging into career service.
Tim brings us a wealth of human resources experience that will contribute to our students in many ways. He has spent the last two years as Managing Principal at Spherion’s Human Resource Consulting group providing outplacement and workforce management consulting services. While doing this, he became known to many of us when he chaired the 2005 Northern Ohio Human Resources Conference for SHRM. Prior to that, he worked in both outplacement and executive development for DBM (previously Drake Beam Morin) and also managed AOC (an accounting specialty staffing and recruiting firm) for four years.
Jan Wolf, Development Coordinator
Jan Wolf was fortunate to be offered the Development Coordinator position at Weatherhead after her position as a Department Assistant III at the College of Arts and Sciences was eliminated. The Coordinator serves as internal liaison between development and Weatherhead, as well as web-master. Other responsibilities include organizing and maintaining donor information, reconciliation and maintenance of budget information and reimbursements, coordinating travel for major gift officers, overseeing stewardship of donors, and working with the department to order office supplies and manage relationships with vendors.
Prior to joining the staff at Case in January, Jan worked for almost 6 years at Planned Parenthood of Greater Cleveland. She started as Coordinator of Special Events, took a year off to be the Company Manager for the long-running production of “Tony & Tina’s Wedding” at the Hanna Theater, and returned to be Administrative Assistant to the CEO.
