Welcome Regina D. Olbinsky, Interim Career Services Director

Regina D. Olbinsky, PHR, is a recognized career management consultant, with over 16 years experience in human resource management, executive recruiting and corporate outplacement. She has worked with multi-billion dollar organizations and has coached and counseled hundreds of individuals in career development. She founded The Career Group, LLC in 2004 to focus on university career services, corporate outplacement and individual coaching.

Regina holds an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University and a BS (Psychology, Human Resources & Russian) from The Ohio State University. In addition, Regina has earned a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation by the Human Resource Certification Institute.

Regina has been a long time active member, past President and Outstanding Member Award recipient of the Cleveland Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and founded the SHRM Pinnacle Award-winning Mentoring Program for the chapter. She is a member of the Career Masters Institute, OD Connection, Cleveland Coaching Federation, Beachwood and Solon Chambers of Commerce, John Carroll University’s Entrepreneur Association, and a past member of BVU’s Trustee Institute.

Her articles on career management have been published by the The Plain Dealer, Crain’s Cleveland Business, Cleveland Jewish News and Cleveland SHRM’s HRMagazine.

Regina lives in Solon with her husband, Jack Garforth, and daughter, Emily, who is in the first grade.
