Congratulations to Megan Bush (Development) and Jennifer Carr (Executive Education) who completed their MBAs this December!

Jennifer Hogue, Marian Hogue's daugher, who worked in the Weatherhead Registrar’s office for a time, passed her orals for her Master’s in Geography at Oregon State University in early December and was surprised to learn that her committee wants her to submit her research for publication and also wants her in their doctoral program! She’s been adamant about not doing a Ph.D—as she was a few years ago when she said she hated computers . . . Marian would like to think that her work at Case—at Weatherhead and later in the International Student Office—planted good seeds for her future.

As for Marian (Registrar), she’s just completed a three-year term on the Board of the Ohio Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers, most recently as Past-President and on a more personal note, is planning to complete physical therapy for recent knee surgery this month.

In September, 2005, Yalanda Medina-Washington (Economics) went to the Cleveland Dancesport Challenge and placed first and second in American Rhythm (bolero, salsa, mambo, cha-cha, rumba, swing) and first and second in American smooth (waltz, tango, foxtrot, V. Waltz). And in November, 2005 went to the largest ballroom dance competition in the country, the Ohio Star Ball. She placed third in tango and fourth in all other dances. Congratulations, Yalanda!
