The Finance and Investment Club conducted two events in the month of November.

On November 4, 2005, there was a seminar on Risk Management. Dr. Anurag Gupta, Associate Professor, Weatherhead School of Management, gave an overview of the field and relevant coursework. Mr. Vishal Haria, Senior Capital Allocation Analyst at National City Bank and Weatherhead alumnus spoke about his experience in risk management and the required skill sets.

On November 9, 2005, there was a session on the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program. Mr. David Macgregor, Senior Research Analyst at Longbow Research talked about the CFA program and its relevance to equity research. Mr. John King, from National City Bank, and Education Chair of The CFA society of Cleveland, spoke about scholarships for students who wish to pursue the CFA designation and volunteer opportunities.

Upcoming events for the Finance and Investment Club include a Company Valuation Competition in the spring. We also welcome input from students about what events/seminars they would like the club to conduct.
