Free Docent-led Tours of the Peter B. Lewis Building Offered

The home of the Weatherhead School of Management is the Frank Gehry-designed Peter B. Lewis Building. The Lewis Building reflects the spirit of Weatherhead's innovative approach to management education and places Weatherhead in the vanguard of business education.

The Lewis Building is named in honor of Peter B. Lewis, Chairman of Progressive Corporation and lead donor to the project. The building is located at the intersection of Ford Drive and Bellflower Road in Cleveland's University Circle.

Docent-led tours of the building are scheduled Saturdays and Sundays between 1:00 p.m. & 3:30 p.m. The tours are approximately 1/2 hour in length and are free. Please click to schedule a tour of the building.

Interesting Peter B. Lewis construction statistics include :

  • Excavation of 40,000 cubic yards of soil
  • Excavation of 700 cubic yards of rock
  • Construction materials included: 1.2 million pounds of structural steel, over 2 miles of curved 4-inch steel pipe and 2 million pounds of concrete-reinforcing steel
  • Construction required 30,000 tower crane lifts
