Weatherhead is pleased to welcome Kevin Malecek to the Weatherhead community and his new role as professional program director overseeing the Evening and Saturday Part-time programs.

Kevin joins us from Cleveland State University where he was program director in the department of education, leading a major grant focusing on teaching American History in ten area schools. Before Cleveland State, Kevin was a program director in the Campaign Management Institute/Center for Congressional and Presidential Studies, housed in American University’s nationally-recognized School of Public Affairs (Kevin also holds his bachelors and MA degrees in political science from AU).

Kevin’s interest in public service followed him back to Cleveland where he won a seat on the City of Willoughby Hills council (district 3) in 2004. Kevin also was recently appointed to the Laketran Board of Trustees by the Lake County Commissioners.
