Congratulations to Solange Charas, PhD ‘14, for winning the 13th International Academy of Management and Business (IAMB) Conference Student Award for Best Student paper! Charas’s paper, “Threats to board stability: understanding SME director behavior,” will be published in the International Journal of Management and Business.

This marks the third consecutive year where a student from the Weatherhead School of Management has won Best Student paper at an IAMB conference. The previous year’s winners were:

2012- Philipp Hensler, PhD ‘13
2011- Nnaoke Ufere, PhD ‘13

Charas, Hensler and Ufere are candidates of the PhD in management: Designing Sustainable Systems program. The program is an extension to the Doctor of Management and provides an intensive four-year evidence-based study into management issues.
