Zara F. Larsen, EDM ’07, was recently quoted in a New York Times article “Behind the Exodus of Executive Women: Boredom”.  Larsen, director of enterprise effectiveness at Raytheon Missile Systems, spent 10 years at United Technologies before quitting to pursue her doctorate in management at the Weatherhead School of Management.  She felt her career had reached a plateau and she was no longer getting the intellectual stimulation she needed, hence her journey to Weatherhead.  When Raytheon made her an “irresistible” offer, she accepted with the caveat that she is allowed to continue to pursue her EDM degree at Weatherhead.
