Congratulations to Halle Tecco, BS ’06, who was selected as a 2009 L’Oreal Women of Worth Honoree for her founding of Yoga Bear. Yoga Bear is a non-profit organization based in San Francisco which provides more opportunities of wellness and healing to cancer patients and survivors through the practice of yoga.

Its online community serves as the largest portal for information and dialogue on yoga and cancer.

L’Oreal created the Women of Worth Award in 2006 to honor outstanding women who are making a difference in their communities. L'Oréal Paris will make a $5,000 donation to each 2009 Women Of Worth Honorees’ most cherished charitable cause, and an additional $5,000 donation in the name of each winner to support the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF), L'Oréal Paris primary philanthropy.
