Dean's Message February
Dear Alumni, Students and Friends,
A spirit of innovation is alive at Weatherhead. I’ve witnessed it in the excitement of our students, the dedication of our faculty, and the commitment of our alumni over the years. This spring is no exception. As we conclude the third week of the 2008 semester, I would like to welcome back students and invite all of our constituents to explore Weatherheadlines.
Weatherhead recently hosted Alumni Happy Hour at the newly renovated Alumni House on Juniper Road. More than 120 people attended the affair to network or simply catch up with old friends and colleagues. If you were one of those present, we would love to hear from you. If you missed it, I assure you that there are many more chances in Cleveland and nationwide to get connected in 2008.
Upcoming alumni events this spring include Casino Night at the Peter B. Lewis Building, and receptions in both San Francisco and Washington D.C. We hope to see you there.
In addition to a strong alumni presence, our Executive Education programs are also taking center stage this spring. On February 26, Weatherhead is hosting an Executive MBA Open House for those interested in learning more about this advanced degree. Other Exec. Ed. workshops include highlighting career strategies for women in business and strength-base leadership for positive change.
The goal of Weatherheadlines is to keep you informed of new programming, research initiatives, alumni in the news, and accolades – all factors that continue to influence Weatherhead’s status in the highly-competitive business school world. I look forward to hearing from all of you as Weatherhead continues on its path of innovation.
