Earlier this year, Jon Coleman, a third year student in the Executive Doctor of Management (EDM) program, received a grant from the Organization Development and Change Endowment Fund (ODC) Division of the Academy of Management (AoM). The ODC Fund is designed to encourage and support ODC research and inquiry toward (a) the development of ODC programs and courses; (b) the design of innovative educational processes, teaching methods and instructional technologies; and (c) an understanding of organizational change and the competencies necessary to achieve it.

Coleman's paper was recognized as furthering the body of knowledge around criteria "c."  In addition to the grant, Coleman was asked to share his work in process with the ODC Division and in a professional Development Workshop at the AoM Annual Conference. These workshops include doctoral consortia and junior faculty consortia that are run by the academy's divisions, interest groups and committees. He also has been invited to present his research findings at the 2008 AoM Conference and at the 2008 ODC Conference.
