"Jobseekers at last year's career fair commented on how surprised they were to find companies offering real jobs," said Peter Tuttle, founder of Careerboard and president of JobServe US Ltd. "Again, our team has worked extra hard to bring together prominent Cleveland employers who have immediate hiring opportunities."
Julie Fratus, a second-year full-time Weatherhead MBA candidate attended the event and had this to say about it, "I attended the Careerboard career fair to meet with employers and learn about companies that post on Careerboard.com. I had been using the Web site to look for jobs for several months, so it was a great opportunity to meet face-to-face with employers that I already had an interest in. Eliminating the electronic element of looking for a job is always the most successful tactic for me, because I am able to show my skills, personality, and create a professional contact."
Fratus added, "in the past, I have received all of my job offers from personal contacts made through networking or career fairs. The Careerboard Career Fair was especiallysuccessful for me, because I was able to research the jobs they would be looking to fill and be prepared to talk about specific positions. I received several calls over the two weeks following the Career Fair and accepted one invitation to interview, so I would absolutely recommend that all MBA candidates attend the Careerboard career fair at the next opportunity. Weatherhead graduate students have an excellent opportunity to really shine at this event."
Careerboard will host a career fair next year, so check our e-recruiting system for information on this and other upcoming events.
