Weatherhead Recognized at E4S

Posted 11/19/2009

CLEVELAND, OHIO — The Weatherhead School of Management received numerous nods for their regional efforts in sustainability at the annual “Champions of Sustainability” event hosted by the Entrepreneurs for Sustainability (E4S), a Northeast Ohio network dedicated to integrating sustainability in business. Linda Robson, a PhD candidate in the Department of Organizational Behavior at Weatherhead, received a "2009 Champion of Sustainability Award" and was recognized for her efforts as Case Western Reserve University’s Sustainability Coordinator. In this role, she has led numerous on-campus initiatives, including Recyclemania, last month's Sustainability Teach In, the formation of Green Teams, and the university’s efforts to join the action-oriented Presidents' Climate Commitment. She has also led efforts to integrate sustainability into CWRU’s curriculum and was lauded for “her ability to interact with all levels of the organization, from the President to faculty to custodial staff, and to make the message of sustainability relevant and appealing to all of them.” The E4S event also featured a panel moderated by Roger Saillant, the Executive Director of the Fowler Center for Sustainable Value. Meanwhile, the Fowler Center’s Faculty Advisor, David Cooperrider, was nominated for a Champion Award, and the Sustainable Cleveland 2019 movement—advised by the Fowler Center—was highlighted on numerous occasions.
