Avi Dor, Case Western Reserve University health care economist from the Weatherhead School of Management, joined the World Bank team a year ago to help Croatia reform and find ways to balance government and private spending in its health care system. Recently the Croatian government announced the major recommendations in five areas to reform health care that had been made by Dor and other World Bank team members.

The Wolstein Lecture on Management Design is an annual event of the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. This year's event will feature Jim Glymph, a long time partner of Frank Gehry and CEO of Gehry Technologies, a company formed in 2002 to introduce project solutions to the Architecture, Engineering and Construction industry.
Weatherhead Alum Shares Nobel Laureate in Economics Sciences

Edward C. Prescott, a 1964 master's of science graduate in operations research from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, shares the 2004 Nobel Laureate in Economic Science with Finn E. Kydland from Carnegie Mellon University and the University of California at Santa Barbara for their theory on business cycles and economic policies.
