Parking
As on most big-city campuses, parking is a challenge and can be expensive. If you find an apartment close to the Case campus, you might be better off commuting via the free university shuttle bus. View shuttle bus routes and schedules for more information.
New students can purchase parking for the fall semester starting on May 19, 2008. The closest lots to the Peter B. Lewis Building are Lot 54 on Ford Drive and Lot 29 on East Boulevard next to Severance Hall. Because Lots 54 and 29 are often filled, many Weatherhead students park in Lot 46 at the end of Bellflower Road, just one block from Weatherhead. Students who display a valid parking permit (for any lot) can park in the following surface lots from 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. and anytime on the weekends: 1A, 1B, 29, 44, 46, 47, 53 and 55.
First, reserve a parking spot in Lot 46, or any other available lot. Reserving parking does NOT obligate you to actually purchase a permit. Students may pay for parking online immediately after making the reservation using a Visa or Mastercard; permits can also be paid for in person at Access Services by cash, check, Visa or MasterCard. Note: Ignore the statement about the Student ID card on the parking website. As long as you have paid your tuition deposit, you may reserve a parking space. When you enter the reservation form, you will need to enter your student ID number (called your Empl ID). Please access the Information Technology document for instructions on getting your ID. Remember - reserving a space is only the first step. You will need to pay for your parking space when you arrive on campus.
