Dr. Gallan's research interests focus on issues of service innovation, service design, and customer experience, especially including effects on service quality and productivity. His research has been published in the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science and California Management Review, among others.

Andrew’s extensive career experience in sales management and marketing includes the pharmaceutical industry and involvement with healthcare not-for-profit organizations.

Dr. Gallan has a secondary appointment in the school of medicine with the department of neurology, and is a member of the Neurological Outcomes Center at University Hospital. Andrew was a member of an award-winning 2008-2009 grant team that evaluated adult and childhood obesity rates and policy-relevant factors for the Ohio Family Health Survey research program. His newest research project explores customer-centric service innovation and patient collaboration in healthcare.
