This class is part of the Certificate in Developing Leadership through Emotional Intelligence.

For managers who have already attended Introduction to Emotional Intelligence (EI), this program takes the learning to a new level with an in-depth look at the Intentional Change Process, an empirically-proven framework for achieving desired, sustained, behavioral transformation. Learn how successful leaders maintain their motivation, high performance, and ability to inspire others to achieve outstanding results time and again.

Learning Outcomes

As a result of attending this class, participants will:

• View leadership as a relationship
• Understand the elements of effective leadership
• Develop a refined definition of EI, its psycho-physiological roots, and competencies
• Learn the concept of Intentional Change Theory, an empirically-proven process or model to enhance EI competencies in others
• Learn how to effectively leverage emotional intelligence to influence relationships that enhance individual and/or organizational outcomes

Who Should Attend

Managers of all functional areas and experience levels who are interested in building more effective working relationships. Most applicable to those with at least one year of experience managing others. Pairs and teams from the same organization are encouraged to attend together.

Prerequisites

The prerequisite for this program is Introduction to Emotional Intelligence.
