(Formerly “Cognitive Agility: A Mindful Approach to Openness, Flexibilty and Focus”)
Our workplaces are constantly changing, presenting professionals at all levels with new and often ambiguous decision-making demands. While our time and attention are limited resources, with never enough to go around, we can optimize our effectiveness in these complex situations by developing cognitive agility.
Complex and fast-paced work situations require leaders to be intentional about where they place their attention. Yet these complex scenarios force leaders to do just the opposite - rely on their automatic reactions. Therefore leaders need to: 1) become more aware of how they react to constraints of time and information overload, 2) learn to turn off their autopilot tendencies, and 3) be more intentional with their thoughts and behaviors.
This highly experiential workshop, grounded in the latest scientific research, presents participants with a series of simulations in order to practice cognitive agility for application in the real world. Participants will leave with personal insights and a learning plan for increasing their adaptability and effectiveness in rapidly changing environments.
