A great time was had by nearly 150 alumni who came back to campus on June 12 to celebrate Reunion with former classmates, friends and faculty!

Dean Mohan Reddy welcomed everyone to Reunion and was pleased to recognize President Barbara Snyder who shared uplifting remarks with the crowd. Sonia Winner, Associate Dean for External Relations, recognized those with five-year milestones and alumni in the classes of 1999 and 1984 who celebrated their 10 and 25 year reunions. Ali Ahmed, EMBA '08, announced Ray Lewis, EMBA '09, as the recipient of The EMBA Class of 2006 Leadership Award. In his remarks, Ray recognized all of the talent present at Weatherhead and encouraged everyone to become active in upholding sustainable enterprise for our society. The EMBA graduates also held a champagne toast to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the EMBA program.

Jennifer Nye, Director of the Annual Fund, remarked on the success of Weatherhead's first Reunion Giving Challenge which raised over $64,000 for the Annual Fund. A thank you to all of those who supported the Annual Fund this year whose gifts contributed to the success of the Challenge. The three leading classes were the EMBAs who contributed $18,000, the Class of 1979 who contributed $7,900, and the Class of 1984 who contributed $6,500.

Constance Kopec, Director of Alumni Relations, encouraged alumni to participate in next year's Reunion. She also recognized members of the Alumni Advisory Council who were pleased to be in attendance. The Alumni Advisory Council, a newly formed advisory group which will advise the Dean on matters relating to career development, student services/admissions, alumni relations and fundraising, held its first meeting prior to Reunion.

Reunion Giving Challenge

Although the Reunion event has passed, there is still time to make a gift to the Annual Fund on behalf of your reunion year or the EMBA program. All gifts received by June 30, 2009, the close of our fiscal year, will be included in the Reunion Giving Challenge totals. If you have not already do so, please consider making a gift to Weatherhead's Annual Fund, in celebration of your achievements and to pave the way for our current and future students.
