TO CLEVELAND
The
best way to reach Case Western Reserve University is to fly to
Cleveland-Hopkins
airport, which is a 35 minute drive from the university.
Rail, Taxi and Car Hire services are available from
the airport for participants.
Taxi

from Hopkins Airport will be available to take participants
from the airport to Glidden House for the conference. Approximate
cost:
$25-$30.
Because the Glidden House Inn is a small bed and breakfast, taxi
drivers may not know where it is located. We recommend that you
have the following directions with you.
Directions
by car to Glidden House from the airport:
Proceed
north on Interstate 71 until I-71 merges with Interstate 90.
Take I-90 east to the Chester Avenue exit.
Drive east on Chester Avenue to Euclid Avenue.
Turn left onto Euclid Avenue.
After 5 traffic lights on Euclid Ave., turn left onto Ford drive.
Glidden House is on the right at 1901 Ford Drive.

Transportation: The RTA (Regional Transit Authority) operates
a regular train service to/from Case Western Reserve University.

Glidden
House is located in University Circle, which is served by the
Regional Transit Authority
(RTA) Red Line. The Red Line goes from the airport through downtown
Cleveland and University Circle. The RTA Green and Blue lines serve
the downtown waterfront attractions and extend through the eastern
suburb of Shaker Heights. All the lines intersect underground at
Tower City Center; ask for a transfer as you exit in order to switch
lines. The "Rapid" fare is $1.50. There are family discounts.
To get to Glidden House from downtown or the airport, take the RTA
Red Line toward Windermere to the University Circle stop (about
15 minutes from Tower City). There is a small sign in the station
pointing toward the hospitals and museums. When you step off the
train, walk to your right. You can either wait at the station for
a free CircleLink shuttle bus (which serves the major destinations
in University Circle and comes by every 15 minutes or so) or walk
uphill to your left along a sidewalk that parallels the Rapid tracks,
turn left and cross the tracks over the Adelbert Road bridge, and
walk one long block up Adelbert Road to Euclid Avenue (where Adelbert
ends). Walk down Euclid Avenue, and turn left onto Ford Drive. The
walk is about 15 or 20 minutes from the station platform; most of
the buildings along the way are part of the Case Western Reserve
University campus or are associated with University Hospitals. The
shuttle bus ride, being somewhat indirect, is 10 or 15 minutes.
