VALUE TO ORGANIZATIONS |
Participation
in the EDM Program provides unique and substantial value to organizations.
To compete effectively in today’s complex world, organizations
require the leaders who:
- Engage in thinking and analysis based upon a global perspective and understanding of viewpoints held by diverse constituencies.
- Possess heightened issue identification and resolution skills.
- Understand interdependencies between organizations and the societies in which they function.
- Work effectively at the critical interfaces inside the organization and among suppliers, manufacturers and consumers of products and services.
- Maintain an active network of peers within and outside of the organization.
- Commit to the principles of lifelong learning and personal development in order to enhance one’s value to the organization.
In addition to these
benefits, the EDM Program’s unique practitioner-scholar
orientation will allow participants to:
- Conduct studies and projects on issues, problems and opportunities of significance to their organizations.
- Test, evaluate and develop a more sophisticated understanding and assumptions about global trends that will affect their organizations and communities.
- Gain perspective on the worldwide challenges and opportunities that will impact plans, strategies and policies guiding their organizations in the long-term.
