EXECUTIVE DOCTOR OF MANAGEMENT (EDM)

 

CRITERIA

The EDM Program at the Weatherhead School of Management addresses needs for advanced education by focusing on the practice of management and leadership. To create the optimal learning environment for participants, the EDM Program is highly selective, and admission is competitive. Each new class, of approximately 30 EDM participants, is selected according to the following criteria:

  • A graduate, master's or professional degree.
  • At least 15 years of work experience, including a minimum of 10 years in leadership roles.
  • Essays illustrating a commitment to creative leadership, continuing intellectual development, enhancing community as well as organizations, and creating a collaborative learning experience.
  • Three letters of recommendation from individuals attesting to the applicant's professional accomplishments, community service activities and/or personal strengths necessary for successful completion of the EDM Program.
  • Official transcripts of all university degree work completed to date.
  • A current résumé.
  • A commitment to completing a rigorous, three-year, doctoral program requiring periodic residencies at the Weatherhead School and at least 30 hours of study per week.
  • Qualified applicants will be selected for a personal interview.
