The Weatherhead part-time MBA is an exciting 48 credit-hour three-year program, emphasizing innovative core course pairings and elective options tailored to meet individual interests. In partnership with faculty and staff, you will create a personalized learning plan through our Leadership Assessment and Development (LEAD) course that combines the core curriculum and elective options into a integrated MBA degree focused on honing your general management skills.
Along with the development of your personalized learning plan, the part-time MBA curriculum features cutting-edge classes in design practices and sustainable value. These classes, which incorporate design practices and sustainable business practices, will help you break from the norm of viewing every challenge through the same spreadsheet-based prism.
Students will begin in their first summer semester with an intensive offering of LEAD and move through the rest of the core offerings within the first two years of their program:
- MBAP 401 – Leadership Assessment and Development
- MBAP 406 – Economics for Managers
- MBAP 410 – Strategic Issues and Applications
- Elective Option
- MBAP 409 – Sustainability and Social Entrepreneurship
- MBAP 412B – Dialogues in Leadership
- Elective Option (2)
Students will also attend a Leadership Speaker Series during their first two years of the program, providing an opportunity to hear from a variety of speakers who are changing the face of business in today’s economy. Core classes meet one evening a week and one saturday a month in the fall and spring semesters and in more intensive formats in the summer.
Part-time MBA Program Electives
Students in the part-time MBA program will have the opportunity to freely choose four elective options in the program’s final stages. Students determine their own focus areas and specializations independently without the rigid structure of formalized concentration areas—and with the help of our Career Management Office, learn how to best position themselves for their ideal post-MBA career advancement.
